About Me
My name is Naomi Martin.
I have been practising the Healing Arts for nearly 40 years, starting with Massage and Reiki and then Chinese Medicine, which I studied the traditional way, with the eminent Professor Lun Wong. I worked in his very busy clinic, applying massage, cupping and Gua Sha, while studying Herbs, Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Martial Arts. I then went on to train as a Counsellor.
Over the last few years, I have felt increasingly disillusioned with mainstream approaches to health, and compelled to further my research into body mind medicine and natural processes of healing. A longstanding faith in the body's ability to heal itself, given the right circumstances, the need for movement, sunshine and community for a healthy emotional state, and a deep yearning for spiritual and ancestral connection have all contributed to my deepening sense of urgency about collectively changing our attitudes and ways of living, as individuals and as a community.
We cannot take the same path to heal that we took to become ill. It is through the energetic body, which encompasses both the body and the mind, that we can effortlessly reunite and reconnect with all aspects of ourselves and find our way towards inner peace and happiness, strong bodies, enlightened minds and open hearts.
